| Wednesday 28 March | “Furthest East to Furthest West of the UK Mainland” Mick & Gayle's presentation on their 2011 trek, with Stockport Walking and Outdoor Group. |
| Thursday 15 March | The Salford Trail - stage 1 - Salford Quays to Clifton - 24 km (15 miles) or shorter if some 'loops' are missed out. Start at 10.30 am outside the Lowry Centre. This is a 'missing link' walk - the rest of the Salford Trail having been completed in 2011 - reports are here. The walk is laden with historical interest. Blog report here. |

Met 7.30 pm outside Rivington Visitor Centre - the Great House Barn on Rivington Lane at SD 628 138 - for a 7 km ramble up to the Pigeon Tower and Rivington PikeTower. Adjourned for a beer not at the Ridgway Arms, Blackrod, but at the Spinners in Adlington, where we helped Lyn and Co come last in the pub quiz. Blog report here. |
