Thursday 25 March

Meet at the Drum and Monkey (SJ 848 787) at 7.30 pm for an old favourite - 8 km around Alderley Edge.
From Wilmslow turn left down Heyes Lane immediately after Alderley Edge station. The Drum and Monkey is down a narrow lane on the right before the triangle fronting Duke Street and Moss Lane.

Wednesday 28 April Walking in South Africa - 8 pm at Hazel Grove Civic Centre, London Road, Hazel Grove SK7 4DF, for some slides of our trips to the Drakensberg and the Cape Town area. This is a Stockport Walking Group event, but do please come and support us.
Thursday 29 April The Old Oak in Tintwistle (SK 019 973) is the starting point, at 7.30 pm, for this 9 km circumnavigation of Valehouse and Rhodeswood Reservoirs.
Thursday 6 May Hale Moss and the Bollin Valley - meet 7.30 pm prompt at Altrincham Railway Station (or nearby hostelry TBA) for a 13 km circuit in a surprisingly rural landscape.
Tuesday 22 June Whitbarrow East and Lord's Seat - meet 7.30 pm at Raven's Lodge (SD 461 853) for a 9 km summer's stroll in the South Lakes.
We did this walk five years ago to the day. Route details are here. This time we may just visit the Hare & Hounds in Levens at SD 483 856 as well.
Thursday 29 July Around Wrenbury - set off from the Cotton Arms (SJ 591 480) at 7.30 pm for a 9 km adventure featuring the Shropshire Union Canal (Llangollen Branch). Take signs from the A49 north of Whitchurch.
Thursday 12 August Meet at Bury Metrolink interchange at 7.30 pm for a 9 km stroll north, through Burrs - a country park, and Summerseat, with Greater Manchester's smallest railway station, to Ramsbottom, returning by bus.

Deepest Cheshire - date and venue to be confirmed.

Thursday 23 September A short walk from Little Budworth, west of Winsford, featuring the remains of Mondrum. Meet at 7.30 in the bar of The Red Lion, Vicarage Lane, Little Budworth (SJ 598 653). Around 8 km.
Wednesday 20 October Meet at the Boddington Arms in Wilmslow (SJ 833 814) to set off at 7.30 pm the search for more Bog People in Lindow Moss. There are lots of routes, so distance is anything between 5 and 10 km, depending on the weather.
Tuesday 16 November A visit to White Nancy and the Macclesfield Canal, leaving at 7.30 pm from the Vale Inn (SJ 932 781) in Bollington. As above, the distance is weather dependent.
Tuesday 21 December Shutlingsloe - a traditional 5 km yomp - 7.30 pm from Trentabank car park (SJ 960 711), adjourning to the Leather's Smithy in Langley.
